At the beginning of April the Commercial Vehicle Show takes place at the NEC in Birmingham, which is about 8 miles East of Birmingham city centre. With around 16 thousands visitors expected to attend what is likely to be the biggest shop window for commercial vehicle and van operators.
Exhibitors will be supplying everything you need to start and operate a road freight transport business or endless alternatives. On show will be van, truck, trailer manufactures through to handling equipment manufacturers, commercial vehicle insurers and tyre, telemetry and training providers all in one place over the 3 days. The show opens on Tuesday 9th April, each day starting at 8.30 am and ending at 5.30pm until Thursday 11th April 2013.
You will find a whole host of vans on display with a workshop area of over 100+ stands showcasing components and replacement parts to maintenance management systems. It doesn’t stop there, from the vans and vehicles themselves to the parts and logistics technology to optimise efficiency, garage and workshop equipment you’ll be able to browse, buy and shop for ideas. With a strong focus on optimising efficiency this event is especially relevant in a sector whereby emissions and fuel economy are highly important. The SMMT have highlighted this year’s hot topic as being Euro 6 as many of the manufacturers will be displaying their new ranges. So we are sure you will be able to get excited over the shiny and new power vehicles, fuel efficient powertrains and body designs.
If you want to look out for some well known Van Exhibitors, The vanwebsite.co.uk, Van Monster and VansA2Z will all be exhibiting at the show.
You can reach the NEC via train, plane, coach, bus and car. If taking the latter the M1, M5, M6, M40 and M42 are all good routes depending on your starting point. However the NEC is signposted on all major roads and motorways making for an easy journey. If you are traveling by car a top tip is to keep up to date with live traffic updates as you go to avoid any nasty accidents or road blocks.
