There will be a range of vehicles, 1,700 are expected, and they are dating from 1907. The vehicles that can be expected there are motorcycles, scooters, heavy military service vehicles and commercial vehicles.
It is great news to hear that commercial vehicles will form part of the event as many people view them as an eye sore rather than something to be admired.
We can’t forget the cars that will be here as more people are unfortunately more interested in these than the vans. It is the 50th birthday of many iconic cars including the Ford Cortina, MGB, Triumph Spitfire and Triumph Vitesse which will all have a celebration held for them at 10:30am.
For those who are less interested in the show i.e. the children, there are a whole range of things that will keep them entertained with everything from bags of sweets to a bungee trampoline. There will be a selection of food and drinks stalls including everything from breakfast to afternoon tea.
The Brooklands Museum Trust will also be there with some exhibits along with a Car Show Raffle. The prizes are brilliant this year as they include: a light aircraft flight for two, a Mercedes F1 Team Cap signed and an Aston Martin Paddock Jacket.
Along with commercial vehicles, another passion of ours is quite obviously commercial vehicle insurance. At the show we expect that everyone attending will be covered by some sort of insurance depending on the vehicle as these are people’s prized possessions and it’s against the law not have it!
